Visiting Alleghany
Alleghany’s Visitation Policy
For those parents who choose to visit, visitation is on the second Saturday of each term ONLY. For 2011 those dates are Saturday, July 9th and Saturday, July 30th.
Visiting Hours are from 2:00 – 5:00pm. You may visit with your daughter and tour the camp from 2:00 to 3:15, after which she must attend her regularly scheduled activities. You may accompany her to her activities and observe her while she participates, but she may not leave her activity. You are welcome to join in and participate! (where appropriate and applicable).
*Parents will not be permitted into camp after 4:00 p.m., as we will begin asking parents to leave shortly after that. All parents are asked to be out of camp by 5:00 p.m.
Not all parents will be able to, nor will choose to, visit, and this is ok! We will “buddy up” campers without parents to visit and tour with their friends’ parents.
Dance and Drama Shows
Parents are welcome to attend the Dance and Drama Shows if your daughter is performing in them. Parents are welcome in to camp at 7:00 p.m. (please arrive by 6:45) and must leave directly after the shows since the campers must begin getting ready for bed at that time. Below are this year’s Dance and Drama Show dates:
- 1st term Drama: July 13, 2011
- 1st term Dance: July 14, 2011
- 2nd term Drama: August 2, 2011
- 2nd term Dance: August 3, 2011
PLEASE NOTE!
If there is thunder or lightening at the time of your arrival at camp, we are NOT permitted to bring you across the river until it has subsided. This is an ACA regulation that we are required to enforce for your safety.
*Note: There remains no visitation during Mini Camp at all; however, Mini Camp parents are encouraged to come meet our staff and see our facilities on opening and/or closing days.
